1 Samuel

The book of 1 Samuel covers the transition from Israel's judges to their first king, Saul, and prepares for the rise of David. It highlights God's sovereignty in choosing leaders, such as Samuel and David, and His faithfulness to keep His promises to Abraham and David. The themes of obedience, faith, and God's faithfulness are prominent, as well as the consequences of disobedience and rebellion against God's will. Ultimately, the gospel of 1 Samuel presents a call to trust in God's plan and leadership over our own desires and ambitions.
