Job

The Book of Job in the Old Testament tells the story of a righteous man who experiences devastating trials, including the loss of his wealth, family, and health, all while clinging to his belief in a just and sovereign God. Through Job's perseverance and the interplay of his conversations with his friends and the divine revelation of God, we learn about the nature of suffering, the power of faith, and the character and attributes of God. Ultimately, Job's faithful endurance and God's restoration demonstrate the refrain that "the LORD gives and the LORD takes away. Blessed be the name of the LORD" (Job 1:21).
