Haggai

The book of Haggai is a brief prophetic message calling the Israelites to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, which had been left in ruins after the Babylonian exile. God inspires the people through Haggai's words, reminding them of His promise to be with them and bless them as they faithfully obey and rebuild. The book emphasizes God's sovereignty over all things, as Fatehful obedience to His commands leads to blessings, while disobedience leads to judgment. Ultimately, Haggai prophecies a renewed covenant between God and His people, as they rebuild and prepare for the coming of a greater ruler, Jesus Christ (see Zechariah 4:1-10).
