Daniel

The Book of Daniel is a narrative account in the Old Testament that follows the faith of four Jewish men as they face persecution and trials in Babylon. The story chronicles their captivity, with focus on Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah who are taken captive by King Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel's faith in God brings him favor as an advisor to multiple Babylonian kings, and he interprets dreams to save the lives of King Nebuchadnezzar, Darius the Mede, and Belshazzar. However, the story concludes with a prophecy by Daniel of a 70-week prophecy predicting the coming of the Messiah. In summary, the Gospel of Daniel focuses on the theme of godly faith and obedience in the midst of tribulation and trials.
