Devotional Thought: God tested Abraham's faithfulness by asking him to sacrifice his son, Isaac, on Mount Moriah. Although this request appeared unimaginable from a human perspective, Abraham respected and obeyed God's call. Sometimes, God asks us to face unfathomable challenges, but we must obey His call with blind faith, regardless of the consequences.

However, he did not waver or hesitate. His unwavering faith in God carried him through the climb. Be encouraged that as you climb difficult mountains, your faith in God will see you through.

Section 3: The Conflict (Genesis 22:6b-12)

Devotional Thought: Abraham bound his son Isaac, ready to sacrifice him. A gut-wrenching scene. The commander of God's army intervened and revealed that Isaac was to be spared. In the end, God only required an animal sacrifice, and He provided one. Our God is a God of intervention, and He is always willing to provide what's required in your trials.

Section 4: The Commendation (Genesis 22:13-19)

Devotional Thought: God commended Abraham for his faithfulness in testing. Twenty-five years after promising Isaac to him, God substituted the sacrificial animal for their son. Abraham went from being a dad about to lose his son to another Abrahamic blessing. Through trials, Abraham remained faithful, enjoying blessings unfathomable to human intellect.

Brothers and sisters, the story of Abraham's triple test in Genesis 22 is a profound story of faith, obedience, and blessings. It takes God's faithfulness to deploy these blessings, and only faith had given Abraham this victory.
